Description

This is a terrace of four houses, built around 1835 to 1845. The exterior is primarily yellow stock brick, with rusticated stucco on the ground floor. A plain band runs along the first-floor window sills. The roofs are slate, with dormer windows. The houses are three storeys tall, with attics and basements, each having two windows. The doorways are topped with segmental arches, supported by fluted columns, and feature patterned fanlights above panelled doors. Number 34 has its entrance on a side return, leading to Swinton Place. The windows have gauged brick flat arches, and the first floor has cast-iron balconies. The facades are finished with stucco cornices and blocking courses. The interiors have not been inspected. Attached to the front of the properties are cast-iron railings with spearhead finials terminating in tassels.
