Numbers 51 And 53 And Attached Railings

Numbers 51 and 53 are two terraced houses built around 1835 to 1844, located on the south side of Swinton Street in Camden. They are constructed from grey stock brick with rusticated stucco on the ground floors and rise to four storeys with basements. Each house features two windows and has round-arched openings at the ground floor. The doorways are adorned with fanlights and panelled doors, with the top panels being glazed. The houses have architraved four-pane sash windows, with the first floor showcasing bracketed cornices and cast-iron balconies, while the second floor includes cornices. The roofs are finished with parapets. Attached to the houses are cast-iron railings with foliated finials that enclose the areas in front. The interiors have not been inspected.
