Description

This is a row of three cottages, numbers 41, 42, and 43, dating from the early 19th century. The cottages are built of multi-coloured stock brick, although numbers 41 and 42 have areas of patching to the first floor and parapets. They are two storeys high, with two windows each. Each cottage has a round-arched doorway with a patterned fanlight above and a part-glazed panelled door. Numbers 41 and 43 have 20th-century prostyle porticos added in front of the doorways. Number 41 also has an additional service entrance, which is now blocked. The windows are recessed sash windows with gauged flat brick arches above. Number 43 features a window to the right of the porch that incorporates a patterned fanlight head. The parapets above the windows have recessed panels. The interiors were not inspected. The cottages are accompanied by attached low brick garden walls with cast-iron railings topped with urn finials, along with gate piers and gates.
