Description

River View is a cottage, which is the surviving half of a pair, dating from the 18th century. It stands at 1½ storeys and is constructed with a timber frame that is rendered, topped with a clay pantiled roof and plain barge-boards. There is an internal chimney stack located just within the south gable end, featuring a plain red brick shaft. The cottage has one small-paned 20th-century window that is fitted with external boarded and pierced shutters. A plank door is complemented by a gabled porch roof above. Inside, the cottage retains the remains of a typical cottage layout and showcases good quality framing from its period.
