Description
The walls and gatepiers to Fakenham Hall are boundary features that date from the 17th century and early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with ornamental stone details. On either side of the drive, there are squat square gate piers made of Tudor brick, each with a moulded base and topped by a stone ball finial. A smaller pair of similar piers is set apart by a short stretch of low garden wall, which is also made of Tudor brick. The wall features small, flat-topped buttresses and plain cast iron railings along the top. To the south, there is a 10-bay stretch of high boundary wall, with return sections of similar length to the north and south. The divisions between the bays are marked by pilasters made of slightly projecting brick. At the far east end of the northern return wall, there is a pier with a finial that matches those by the drive.
