Description
Rectory Cottage is a mid-19th century cottage located on the east side of Thetford Road in Fakenham Magna. The building is two storeys high and constructed from knapped black random flint, featuring a white gault brick string course, rusticated dressings, and quoins. It has an internal chimney stack with four plain square shafts that have attached heads. The roof is hipped with a wide eaves overhang and is covered with double Roman tiles.
On the ground floor, there are two windows, each a two-light small-paned casement with semi-circular fanlights and deep reveals, set within arched rusticated brick surrounds. The upper storey has three windows, which are also two-light casements in deep reveals, featuring segmental arched heads and surrounds made of rusticated white brick. The entrance features a plank door with a semi-circular head, set into a rusticated doorway of a similar shape.
