Description
No 94 High Street is a building that originally served as a public house and dates from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th and early 20th centuries. The northeast elevation features a carriage entrance and has three windows across three storeys plus attics. The structure is timber-framed and rendered, with a jetty at the first floor. The upper floors have early 19th-century small-pane sash windows, one of which is marked with the scratch-date 1815. At the ground floor, there is an early 20th-century splayed bay and a glazed panelled entrance door. Inside, there is an impressive mid-18th-century staircase that spans four floors, complete with moulded handrails, newels, and turned balusters.
