Description

Nos. 84 and 86 High Street is a butcher's shop and part of a stationer's shop with a dwelling above, dating from the early 19th century. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring three windows. It is constructed of red brick and has a plaintiled roof with flat lead-roofed dormers that contain sash windows. On the first floor, there are early 19th-century sash windows with broad splayed architraves and small-pane sashes. The shop front at number 84 is a mid-20th-century design with a plate glass window, and it includes part of the adjacent 20th-century shop front at number 86.
