Description
The Bushel Public House is an 18th-century building with 19th-century alterations and a possible 17th-century core. It stands two storeys high and is finished with roughcast render. The building features plaintiled roofs and a gable chimney made of red brick. On the façade, there are various sash windows, including a 19th-century splayed bay window on the left with a flat lead roof and small-pane sashes, and a small-pane sash window on the right. A notable feature is the prominent late 18th-century semi-circular bay at the first floor, which is supported by circular columns and creates a central open porch at the entrance. This bay has five lights of small-pane sashes, with fluted pilasters between each light. The entrance is marked by a pair of 19th-century two-panelled glazed doors topped with a small-pane oblong fanlight.
