Description
68 Guildhall Street is a house that now functions as a shop. It features an 18th-century front with later alterations. The exterior is finished in painted brick and has a plain tiled roof with a wooden modillion cornice. The building is two storeys high, with a cellar and attics. On the upper storey, there are four sash windows, each with a single vertical glazing bar set in flush cased frames. The ground storey has two sash windows and a shop window with plate glass, framed by a plain surround and a moulded architrave. There are also two hipped dormers, each containing a two-light single bar casement window. The entrance features a panelled half-glazed door that is recessed within a doorcase, which has plain reveals, panelled pilasters, a cornice, and a pediment. The interior has not been inspected.
