Description

The barn and stable, located 70 metres east of Valley Farmhouse, likely date from the late 16th century or early 17th century and were built in two stages. They are timber-framed and covered with weatherboarding. The roofs, originally thatched, are now covered with Roman pantiles and feature 19th-century fleur-de-lys crested ridge tiles on the barn. Each structure has three bays, with the stable possibly being older and originally having a loft above. The south side of the barn has a set of four boarded doors in the central bay, while the stable has boarded doors and a 20th-century opening at the left-hand gable.
