Description

Highlands is a cottage, probably from the 17th or 18th century, built in two stages. It has one storey and attics, featuring a timber frame with plastered walls. The cottage is topped with thatched roofs, which include bargeboards with a spike finial and one 19th-century eyebrow casement dormer. There are axial and gable chimneys made of red brick. The windows are 19th-century small-pane casements, and there is a boarded entrance door. The layout likely consists of a three-cell house that is gable-fronted to the road, with an additional set-back range at right angles.
