Description

STONHAM ASPAL ANGEL HILL TM 15 NW 5/162 Valley Farmhouse (formerly - 9-12-55 listed as "Ye Old Angel") GV II

Farmhouse, at one time an inn. Late C18 with earlier rear wing, possibly of C16. Timber-framed and plastered. Concrete tiled roof, formerly plaintiled, with external end chimneys of red brick. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Mid C20 casements. Late C18 entrance door with 6 panels, the upper panels glazed; a broad architrave and moulded and dentilled cornice. A lower and earlier rear service range has a plaintiled roof; this may be the major part of the earlier house.
