Description
Stonham Lodge is a house built in the early 19th century, specifically believed to have been constructed in 1809 for a member of the Driver family from Deerbolt Hall. The building has two storeys and features three windows. It is made of gault brick and has a shallow pilaster at each bay, with the outer pair set back from the corners. Each pilaster is topped with an enriched Ionic capital and a small terracotta patera above it. The roof is hipped and slated, with internal chimneys made of gault brick. The windows are small-pane sashes with moulded cornices. The entrance features a pair of glazed panelled doors with border panes, where the lower panels are solid. There is a Greek Doric portico porch that includes a flat entablature enriched with triglyphs.
