Description

Church Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The roof is thatched and features an internal end chimney on the left side, which is from the 18th century, and a larger external chimney on the right, both made of red brick. The cottage has a two-cell end-chimney plan and stands two storeys tall. The windows are 19th-century small-pane casements, and there is a boarded entrance door also from the 19th century. To the right, there is a one-storey extension with a pantiled roof, added in the 19th century. The cottage is situated adjacent to the churchyard and has group value with the Church of St. Mary and Guildhall Cottages.
