Description

This barn, located 30 meters east of Hill Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with a stable added to the left in the 18th century. It features five bays and has a central gabled midstrey on the east side. The structure is timber-framed and weather-boarded, topped with a thatched roof supported by wind-braced clasped purlins. The walls are well-constructed with close-studding and arch-bracing at the end bays and gables. There are boarded barn doors at the center of each side. The stable, made of red brick and thatched, includes a hayloft above and was added to the north end in the 18th century.
