Description

The Newbourne War Memorial is a First World War memorial made of stone. It is located in the churchyard of the Grade I listed Church of St Mary, near the main entrance to the churchyard. The memorial features a simple Latin cross that is mounted on a tapering plinth and a square base, standing approximately 1.2 meters tall. The main inscription on the head of the cross reads "IN/ MEMORIAM/", and the names of the three parishioners who died during the First World War are inscribed on the front of the plinth.
