Description
This barn, located 40 meters south-west of Rookery Farm, dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It has four bays and is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a pantiled roof that was originally thatched. The barn features opposing boarded doors at the second bay from the north-east. Inside, there is good complete arch stud-braced studding, and the tiebeams at the open trusses retain several archbraces. The third and fourth bays from the north-east are narrower than the first two, though the reason for this is unclear. The roof was rebuilt to its original pitch in the 19th century. This barn is included for its group value.
