Description

This barn, located 25 meters north-west of The Rookery, dates from the 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with wattle and daub infill. The roof is covered with pantiles, and the exterior is clad in vertical planks. There are double doors in the center of the south side and an outshut entrance on the north side. The barn has a gabled roof supported by a timber frame made of thin scantling, with arched braces at the corners. The roof structure includes tie beams on arched braces, principals, two tiers of staggered butt purlins, and cambered collars.
