Description

The Yard consists of three cottages that were built as one in the 17th century or earlier. They are one storey high with attics and have a three-cell layout featuring both cross-entry and lobby-entry. The cottages are timber-framed, with the west elevation covered in old oak boarding, while the other walls are plastered. The thatched roof includes two eyebrow casement dormers. There is a 17th-century axial chimney made of red brick, along with a 19th-century internal gable chimney on the left side. Each of the three cottages has a boarded 19th-century entrance door, which features turned pilaster shafts and individual carved cornices. Cottage number 3 also has a canopy supported by brackets. The interior has not been examined.
