Description
Dairy Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with a possible 16th-century core. The building has two storeys and a three-cell plan, with a fourth cell to the left that may be a 17th-century addition. It is constructed of timber framing and plaster, topped with a plaintiled roof.
On the left side, there is an internal end chimney from the early 17th century made of red brick, featuring a diaper-patterned terracotta frieze at the base and six detached octagonal shafts. At the rear of the hall, there is an external chimney of a similar design with three shafts. The windows are three-light casements; those on the ground floor are 19th-century with transoms, while the upper ones are likely from the 18th century. The rear features 18th-century casements with transoms and leaded glazing. The entrance door is a 20th-century six-panelled design. The interior has not been examined.
