II

Former farmhouse. Early to mid C17. Timber-framed and rendered; concrete plaintiles; a gable wall of painted brick on the right, with corbels and stone coping, incorporating a chimney-stack with plain shaft. 2 storeys. Frame in 6 bays; interior divided into 4 rooms in line, but there is no obvious join or extension to account for its unusual length. Frame with a middle rail, but most framing covered; main beams with small chamfer and curved stops with jewel, joists set on edge, widely-spaced. One fireplace with a plain timber lintel. Roof not examined. A C19 single-storey lean-to along the rear, in 2 sections.
