Description
This barn, located 30 meters southeast of Leedes Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and consists of about 8 bays. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a pantiled roof that was once thatched. On the west side, there is a gabled dormer with plain tiles. The west side also includes two midstreys, which are gabled and have sets of four boarded barn doors. The barn showcases good arch windbraced studwork, with some arch-bracing present in the open trusses, while others have been removed. Inside, there is a two-tier butt-purlin roof, with the upper tier being wind-braced. On the east side, facing the road, there are two 19th-century gabled midstreys made of flint rubble and red brick walling.
