Description
Ford Millhouse is a house that was formerly connected to a watermill on the south side. It dates from the mid-18th century and has been altered in the late 20th century. The building features a plastered and colourwashed timber frame with a pantiled roof and a baffle-entry plan. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window front. The central entrance is a late 20th-century half-glazed door set within a reeded doorcase that has corner roundels and a plain hood. There are 20th-century three-over-three sash windows on both sides of the door and on the first floor as well. The roof is bell-based and gabled, previously having a dormer, and there is a ridge stack located to the left of centre. The north gable jetties at both the first and attic floors. At the rear, there is a full-height outshut, a stack positioned to the left of centre, and 20th-century windows.
