Description

This is a barn located 40 metres north of Broomvale House, dating from the late 18th century. The barn features five bays and is constructed with a timber frame, weather-boarded on a red brick plinth. It has a hipped roof covered with pantiles. The walls include straight primary bracing and show significant reuse of oak timber from an earlier structure. On the south side of the central bay, there is a weatherboarded midstrey with a hipped pantiled roof. The north face of the barn has a set of four barn doors, with a pitching door at high level on either side.
