Description

WOOLPIT GREEN HILL TL 9762 5/145 Mullions - GV II House; built in 2 stages, C16 and C17. L-plan. 2 storeys; the longer arms of 3 windows at right-angles to the street. Timber-framed and plastered. Pantiled roof, once thatched. Various C19 chimneys of gault and red brick: a plastered axial chimney is probably of C17/C18 red brick. C19 small-paned casements and a small-paned sash. A C19 panelled entrance door. Plain C16 and C17 framing exposed: un-chamfered floor joists. An 8-light diamond- mullioned window, now internal. A 2-storey late c19 extension along the frontage to Mill Lane.
