Description
Mullions is a house located on Woolpit Green Hill, built in two stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, forming an L-plan. It has two storeys and features three windows that are positioned at right angles to the street. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, with a pantiled roof that was originally thatched. There are various 19th-century chimneys made of gault and red brick, and a plastered axial chimney that is likely made of red brick from the 17th or 18th century. The house includes 19th-century small-paned casements and a small-paned sash window, along with a 19th-century panelled entrance door. The plain framing from the 16th and 17th centuries is exposed, showcasing un-chamfered floor joists. Inside, there is an 8-light diamond-mullioned window that is now internal. Additionally, there is a two-storey extension from the late 19th century along the frontage to Mill Lane.
