Description

Dial Farm Cottage is a house that was built as part of another structure in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a two-cell lobby-entrance plan and has two storeys with two windows. The building is timber-framed and plastered, displaying herringbone pargetting that may be original. The roof is slated, having previously been thatched. There is an axial chimney made of early 19th-century gault brick, with red brick visible below the thatch line. The original windows are three-light casements, although one of the four has been replaced by a mid-20th-century casement. The entrance door to the lobby is boarded and dates from the 19th century. This building is included for its group value.
