Description

No. 47 Old Street is a house, likely built in the 17th century, featuring a two-cell end chimney plan. The structure has two storeys and is constructed with a timber frame that is plastered. The roof is slated, although it was originally thatched. On the right side of the house, there is an internal end chimney with a red brick shaft that dates from the 18th or 19th century. To the left, there are 18th-century two-light casement windows, while the right side has three-light windows from the mid-20th century. The entrance features a four-panelled door from the 19th century, and there is a side entrance doorway to the left that has an old plank door.
