4/116 Coach house and stables, - 70m north of Plashwood House

GV II

Coach house and stables; late C18 with mid C19 remodelling. Timber-framed and plastered with original herringbone pargetting. Hipped slated roof; a short rearward projection at either end. 3 C18 dormers, lead-clad with segmental heads; casements boarded over. One storey and attics. The original facade had doorways at either end and at centre, with a pair of windows on both sides of centre doorway. C18 lunette windows of tripartite form with a small keystone at the head; a pair of C19 coach house doors replaces the left hand window. Framed and boarded doors, with semi-circular fanlights of similar form to the windows. In mid or late C19 further accommodation beneath a lean- to roof was added to rear. Near complete internal fittings of high quality; a mid C19 refurbishment. Plashwood House is not included in this list.
