Description

18 and 19 Duke Street are a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They feature plastered masonry, possibly made from clay lump, set on a tarred brick foundation. The cottages have a hipped roof covered with glazed pantiles and are topped with axial chimneys made of red and gault brick. The buildings are two storeys high and each has two windows with early 19th century small-pane sash designs. The entrance to No. 18 includes a four-panelled door with beaded panels, while No. 19 has a six-panelled door with the upper four panels being fielded. These cottages are included for their group value.
