Description
1 and 2 Park Farm Cottages are a pair of cottages that were originally built as a single three-cell house with both cross-entry and lobby-entry in the late 16th century or early 17th century. The cottages are two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and pebble-dashed exterior. They feature a Roman pantiled roof, which was likely thatched in the past. There is a 17th-century axial chimney made of red brick, with a sunk plastered panel at the base that probably once displayed a date, and it has a sawtooth shaft. Additionally, there is a second axial chimney from the 17th or 18th century. The cottages have 19th and 20th-century casement windows, and there is a slightly projecting altered 17th-century chamber window with a moulded cill supported by console brackets. The entrance doors are boarded and date from the late 19th or 20th century. The interior has not been examined.
