Description
Numbers 2 and 4, along with the Corner Cafe, are 17th century buildings located on the north side of Broad Street. They are two storeys high, with a basement and attic, featuring five dormers. The roofs are partially tiled and partially slate. The exterior is roughcast on brick, with a cornice below a low parapet. The buildings have six sash windows with glazing bars and flush frames, and No 4 includes a three-light sashed bay window. Both Nos 2 and 4 have six-panel doors with wood pedimented cases. The Corner Cafe, located on the right, has a stuccoed splayed bay projection and a wooden shop front supported by Doric pilasters and an entablature. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered beam. Numbers 2, 4, the Corner Cafe, and the adjacent buildings from 6 to 20 (even), as well as 30A and 30, form a group.
