Description

Numbers 21 and 22, known as the Cabin Restaurant, and Number 23 are buildings from the 17th century that have been altered. They are two storeys tall with an attic and feature two gabled casement dormers with pantiles. Number 21 has four flush frame sash windows on the first floor and a blank recess. The building is constructed from brick and plaster, with a red brick splay bay on the ground floor to the right and an entrance with a fanlight. There are fluted pilasters on the flanks and a plain entablature. The former shop window on the left has pilasters leading to a wooden case and an entrance with a fanlight.

Numbers 22 and 23 are also from the early 17th century and originally formed one building, now divided with an altered front and a later roof on the left portion. Number 22 has a three-light segmental headed casement dormer in a slate roof, a wooden eaves cornice, and a whitened plastered front. It features three cambered headed flush frame sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, as well as a restaurant window and entrance in a wooden case with flank pilasters.

Number 23 includes a massive chimney stack and a segmental headed casement dormer with horizontal glazing bars. It has one near-flush frame sash window at the centre of the first floor and added casements on each side. The ground floor features a square bay with glazing bars and a door with a glazed upper half. Inside, there is a wide exposed fireplace on the first floor, two-panel doors with H hinges, a ground floor cupboard with shaped shelves, and hewn trusses and purlins.

Numbers 20 to 24 form a group.
