Description

Nos. 1 and 3 Nethergate Street are a building dating from the 18th century. They are a three-storey structure of brick, with a limewashed finish and a pantile roof that is hipped at the east end, featuring diagonal eaves toothing. Some leadwork remains on two second-floor casements. The building has two sash windows on the first floor, now without glazing bars, and three ground floor casements. A wooden shop front with pilasters, glazing bars, and a six-panel door is located on the left-hand side. The lower portion on the right has an added advanced wing. Nos. 1 and 3 form a group with Nos. 1 to 5 (odd) Bridge Street.
