Description

Nos. 4 and 6, Sussex Road are a building with an 18th-century front applied to a 17th-century core. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, and a former chimney on the left-hand side has been removed. The building is two storeys high. No. 4 has two windows, which are early 19th-century casements with a single vertical bar and two window lights, set within flush frames. No. 6 has three windows, which are 18th-century wooden casements inserted into near-flush frames; those on the ground floor are surmounted by segmental brick arches. Both properties have plain plank doors. Nos. 4 to 12 (even numbers) form a visually cohesive group.
