Description

This is a 17th century or earlier house, likely refronted in the mid-18th century with red brick, now divided into two dwellings at numbers 34 and 36 Dragon Street. It is two storeys high, with three windows. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled unevenly. There are two-storey canted bays at either side, topped by a dentilled cornice and a brick parapet that follows the line of the bays. Most of the windows are late 19th century sash windows, except for the first-floor centre window, which is an early 19th century sash window with glazing bars. Three steps lead to the front doors. The door for number 34 is a new door on the left, while the door for number 36 is the original central door, consisting of four fielded panels and two glazed panels, both sheltered by flat hoods supported on cut brackets. The ground floor has recently been rendered up to the window cills. There are gabled rear extensions and other modern additions to the rear.
