Description
Piper's Farmhouse in Hinton is a farmhouse consisting of two parallel ranges, with the rear dating from the 16th to 17th century and the front from the early 19th century. The front range is built of red brick with a white brick facade and a rendered gable on the right side, while the rear is timber framed, partially rendered, and partially faced with brick. Both ranges have slated roofs and the building is two storeys high. The symmetrical facade features three window openings with inset sashes that have glazing bars, flat stucco arches with keys, and a six-panel door, of which the upper two panels are glazed, topped by a flat hood. The older part at the rear has been significantly modernised and re-roofed.
