Description

Hawthorn Farmhouse is a mid-16th century farmhouse. The north gable end is plastered, the rear is plastered, and the south gable end is brick. The roof is covered in glazed pantiles. The main facade has three windows (excluding the porch), with 20th-century two-light and three-light casement windows set within segmental arches. The entrance is asymmetrical and features an early to mid-20th century two-storey red brick porch with a flat roof and large-pane casement windows, containing a six-panel door facing north. There is one internal chimney stack and one gable end stack to the south. The interior retains substantial exposed timberwork, including a ground floor ceiling with moulded joists.
