Description

Union Farmhouse in Bulcamp is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantiled roof, with glazed pantiles on the front. The building has two storeys and an attic, presenting a symmetrical front with five windows. The windows are early to mid-19th century casements that have metal glazing bars and very small panes, with each ground floor window containing 72 panes and flat brick arches above them. The central doorway has been altered in the 19th century and features an inset six-panel door with raised and fielded panels, a semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars, and is set within a boarded panel that includes a simple gabled hood. There is a wooden modillion eaves cornice. The end gables appear to have been partly rebuilt, showcasing tumbled brickwork and corbelling at the eaves. Two stacks are located on the rear roof slope, and there is a single-storey brick dairy wing on the left side.
