Description
Chatterton Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, with some areas rebuilt in 20th-century brickwork, and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and four windows on the first floor, with a continuous outshut at the rear. The right side of the facade has been rebuilt and includes a door in a wooden porch, with a casement window to the left of a 4-pane sash window on each floor. The left side of the facade has two 4-pane sash windows beneath a plat band, with similar windows on the first floor. The roof has tabled eaves courses, shaped kneelers, and ashlar gable copings. There are brick end stacks and a similar ridge stack to the left of the porch. At the rear, the extended outshut on the right features a tumbled-brick verge. Inside, there are bressumer beams over the left end and central fireplaces, with one brick smokehood visible at the first-floor level.
