Description
Norwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century for the rear range and the early 19th century for the front range. The rear range is timber-framed and clad in 19th-century red brick laid in English bond, while the front range features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick. Both sections have plain tile roofs. The rear range consists of two timber-framed bays, which are parallel to but slightly shorter than the front range. The front range is two storeys tall with a hipped roof and has rear stacks located to the left, centre, and right. The front features a regular arrangement of three windows, with two 16-pane sashes and a central 12-pane recessed glazing bar sash. The ground-floor windows are adorned with splayed painted voussoirs. There is a central panelled door with a plain fanlight, which is sheltered by a trellised porch. The interior has only been partly inspected, but it includes broad joists in the left-hand ground-floor room at the rear.
