Description

This barn, located 20 meters west of Whitehouse Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from timber framing and weatherboarding, topped with a thatched roof. The barn features five bays and has a central gabled porch on the north side. The two westernmost bays are separated from the rest of the structure. The frame includes straight bracing with bisected studs, and the four open trusses maintain their arched braces. The roof is supported by two rows of staggered butt purlins and a ridge piece.
