Description

The Crown and Castle Hotel is a hotel located on Orford Castle Hill, dating from the late 19th century, although it has an earlier timber core. The building features a plastered facade with applied timber framing and has a plain tiled roof. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a four-window range with casement windows. There are four dormers, each with plain tiled roofs. The ground floor windows are designed in a Gothic style, complete with glazing bars and mullions. The hotel has two entrance porches, each with bracketed tiled hoods, and brick gable ends. Additionally, there are two brick stacks located at the ridge of the roof.
