Description
Model Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century, which was re-roofed in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame with plaster and has a hipped roof covered in glazed black pantiles. The building has two storeys and was originally designed with an attic. It has a three-cell layout with a lobby entrance. The windows are mainly 19th century casements, but there are two original mullioned windows on the first floor and two others that can be seen inside. The entrance door is made of planks, and there is a heavy internal stack. At the rear, there is a full-width outshut made of colourwashed brick, which includes a mid-20th century gabled addition at the first floor level. Inside, the first floor showcases a good exposed frame, original floorboarding, and some original doors, along with newel stairs.
