Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a 16th and 17th century farmhouse, possibly incorporating an earlier structure, and extensively restored around 1980. It is timber framed with plaster infill and has a thatched roof. The house comprises a three-room main range with a lower addition to the north. Original mullioned windows remain, while others are 20th century replacements, many designed in a 16th–17th century style. A 20th century plank door serves as the entrance, and there is a gabled dormer window. An internal stack is present. A notable feature is a 17th century casement window with early diamond-leaded glass, salvaged from a demolished nearby house and now incorporated into the north wing. The interior has been significantly altered, including the removal of part of the first floor. A storey post is dated 1591.
