Description

This is a late 16th or early 17th century farmhouse, with a brick gable end dated "SC 1787" visible on the facade. It has an L-shaped plan, including a service wing at the rear. The structure is timber framed and plastered, with a red brick gable end on the right. The roof is pantiled to the front and plaintiled to the rear, while the service wing’s roof is entirely pantiled. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic. It originally had a two-cell plan. It features two windows with 3-light casements from the mid-20th century, and a lobby entrance with a half-glazed door. A central internal stack is present, along with an integral stack to the right-hand gable end. The interior retains some good examples of exposed timbering.
