Description
Beares is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, featuring an L-shaped plan with a later service wing at the rear. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell plan. The facade includes a four-window range, primarily consisting of 18th-century two-light and three-light casements, with one window retaining the original square leaded glass. There is also a large mid-20th-century casement window on the ground floor. The entrance is a lobby with a modern half-glazed door, accompanied by another half-glazed door on the left side. Inside, the farmhouse showcases exposed timbering and features the original newel stairs.
