Description
Church Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse that features a timber frame with roughcast render and a late 19th-century red brick casing at the rear. The building has a plaintiled roof and stands two storeys high with an attic. It follows a three-cell plan and has a four-window range, showcasing 19th-century two-light and three-light mullion and transom casements with large panes. The entrance is a cross passage with a six-panel raised and fielded door, where the upper two panels are glazed, along with a frieze and cornice. There is an internal stack. At the rear, there is a backhouse of similar age that is linked to the main range by a late 19th-century kitchen extension. The backhouse remains relatively unaltered and is considered a particularly good example of its kind.
