Description

Nos. 142-146 on High Street in Wickham Market is a terrace of three houses dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The houses are timber framed and have a red brick facade added in the 19th century, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features scattered fenestration, including five casement windows at the first floor and sash windows in flush frames at the ground floor, with one canted bay window. The entrance doorways for Nos. 142 and 146 have plain architraves, bracketed hoods, and six-panelled doors. No. 144 has a doorway with a moulded architrave with ears, a bracketed pediment, and a six-panelled door, with the upper two panels being glazed and matching linings. There are red brick stacks at the ridge.
