Description
Nos. 24-27 on Well Street is a terrace of four houses built in the mid-19th century. The front is made of white brick, while the sides and rear are constructed from red brick, topped with slate roofs featuring a paired modillion eaves soffit. The terrace has three storeys and cellars, with a four-window range. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in shallow reveals, featuring projecting stone sills and stuccoed flat arches, except for No. 27, which has 20th-century metal casements. The entrance doors, which have rectangular fanlights, are accessed by steps. Nos. 24 and 26 have original doors with four raised fielded panels, while Nos. 25 and 27 have later, half-glazed doors. All doors are framed with plain surrounds. The interior has not been inspected.
